SEHS hands out postseason honors for its tennis teams

The South Effingham tennis teams held their postseason awards banquet.
The boys team went 20-3 and won the Region 3-AAAA championship, advancing to the Final Four. Brent Jenkins was named the most valuable player, posting a 20-2 match record. Ryan Nease won the Mustangs Award and the academic award. Ben Grayson was named the most improved.
The Lady Mustangs went 16-6 and finished second in the region. Makayla Pevey was named the most valuable player. Alex Parrish won the Mustang and academic awards, and Shar Figuero was named most improved.
Kristen Finlen is the tennis teams’ coach, and Mike Kelly is the assistant coach.
