The Effingham County volleyball team held its awards banquet recently, recognizing its players for the 2015 season. Maddie Weiss was named the most valuable player, and Jalin Garvin was named best offensive and honored for having the highest grade point average. Andrea Garcia was named the best defensive player. Sha’Quira Johnson was named best server, and Sarah Freeman was named the most improved. Kiara Vazquez was named the JV most valuable player. Anays Serano had the highest GPA on the JV, Chloe Dennis was the most improved, Amy Hill received the ace award, Katie Altis was named best defensive and Evy Brown was named best offensive player.
