The Effingham County High School wrestling team again traveled to St. Paris, Ohio, during the last week in June, to attend the Jeff Jordan State Champ Camp, considered to be one of the best wrestling camps in the country.
“As usual, I am very proud of the way our guys preformed and the work ethic they continued to show all week, said Rebels wrestling coach Nico Guggino. “By practicing and competing against teams from Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin, our guys have been challenged to be their best every day. The type is atmosphere has really taught our kids how to work hard all the time and this has really helped us compete at a higher level during the season. This camp has really helped our kids bond as a team and develop the self confidence needed to be a quality wrestler.
