Rebels warm up to the task in opener

It wasn’t exactly baseball weather — or even remotely close to it. But with temperatures below 40 degrees, the Effingham County Rebels split their first two games of the season, topping Screven County 6-2 in Thursday’s opener and falling 5-2 to a highly-regarded Woodstock team Friday.
